In 2016, a new office building was finished in tis first stage, and the Penthouse was acquired by the Pepsi Corporation for one of their branches’ offices holding a contest for the design.
Paz Arquitectura obtained that contract and carried on the design and construction between October and December 2016. The area comes up to 1,125,00 square meters for 120 employees.
The project was conceived as an open office with different categories of private spaces to accomodate various types of activities. The project mantains a high profile towards technology and enviromental standards, having obtained the LEED Gold Certificate.
Our concept was to generate a dynamic and at the same time cozy work environment. The use of natural materials reflect the echological concept of the proposal. Colors and textures were applied in several areas to reflect the essence of the company (corrugated steel sheets evoquing freight containers and the actual crates used to transport bottles).
For funcionality, all the permanent employees were located in the perimeter to take advantage of natural lighting and crossed ventilation. The private areas were placed at the center core. Personnel was distributed in 4 sections, generating “neighborhoods”, minimizing ocuppancy density.
