Paz Arquitectura is a design and architecture studio established in 2005 by Alejandro Paz. Through the challenge of design, Paz Arquitectura aims to approach each project as an opportunity to question the very nature of the elements that make up the design in order to provide efficient and positive solutions for the user. We view architecture as an opportunity for the designer to intervene in the nature of human beings to improve their living conditions and their development in the world we inhabit. Design becomes the integration of instruments to improve the way of life of human beings, technology, optimization of resources, management of the environment, integration with nature and exploration of materials. Each project imposes an opportunity for experimentation focused on exploiting the potential of each of the elements of the design.
Alejandro Paz (Guatemala City, 1975) is an architect who graduated from the Francisco Marroquín University of Guatemala (2003). He has ventured into the field of architecture and design working on projects in Guatemala, Central America and the USA. In the field of art, he has been characterized by his conceptual work, which reflects on social and political aspects of the construction of identity, both of the individual and of social groups. He has participated in various individual and collective exhibitions.
